Paranormal disturbances at the haunted hotel of Mount Gelap
After the driver dropped me off, I checked into the hotel where I planned to rest for the night.
I thought all the strange things I saw earlier—the shadowy figure beside the car window and that huge creature—would end there. But I was wrong. The disturbances continued even at the hotel.
After a short chat with the travel driver, I checked in and went straight to my room. That was when everything truly began.
As soon as I entered the room, I hurried to take a shower. My body felt unbearably hot and sticky from the long trip. But while I was showering, someone knocked on the door.
“Tok tok tok…”
Startled, I shouted, “Yes, just a moment, sir!” thinking it was a staff member.
Wrapped in a towel, I opened the door — but there was no one there.
I started to think maybe someone was playing a prank. I shrugged it off and closed the door. But just as I took three steps away, there was another knock.
I rushed to open it immediately — again, no one.
At that moment, fear began creeping in. My heart pounded as I stood frozen, wondering what was happening. I slowly closed the door again and got dressed quickly, deciding to go downstairs and find the receptionist.
But as I was putting on my clothes, the bathroom door creaked open — slowly, softly.
I turned my head toward the sound, and what I saw made my entire body freeze.
There, halfway out of the bathroom, was a figure — pale face, bulging eyes dripping with blood, dressed in white, surrounded by mist and smoke.
It was so real. I wanted to scream, but I couldn’t. My voice was gone; my body wouldn’t move. I just stood there, trembling.
The moment our eyes met, the entity vanished. I was in complete shock, trembling uncontrollably. Desperate, I grabbed my phone and called the travel driver.
“Hello, sir, what’s wrong?” he asked.
With my voice shaking, I said, “Sir, please come back to the hotel. Please help me, I’ll pay you. I’m scared… please, sir.”
I could still clearly see that horrifying face in my mind. It wasn’t an illusion—it was real.
While waiting, I hurried downstairs to the receptionist’s area, trembling. I told the hotel staff what happened as I waited for the driver to arrive.
When he finally came, I told him everything. After listening, he said, “Let’s meet Pak Ujang tomorrow morning. He’ll know what to do about the spirit that guards Mount Gelap.”
That night, I refused to return to my room. I stayed on a lobby chair near the reception desk where people were still around, while the driver slept in his car outside.
At 5 a.m., we drove to Cipatujah, to Pak Ujang’s house. When we arrived, he looked surprised.
“Why have you come back so soon? Did something follow you?” he asked.
I nodded and told him everything — every impossible, terrifying detail.
Pak Ujang only smiled and said, “You’re lucky. It wasn’t your life it took.”
I froze. “What do you mean, sir?”
He then explained everything — about the spirit of Mount Gelap and the curse surrounding it.
Akhirnya, ia berkata, "Ayo, kita bersihkan. Semoga Tuhan melindungimu agar hal itu tidak mengganggumu lagi."
Setelah ritual penyucian, saya mengucapkan terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya kepada Pak Ujang.
Malam itu masih menghantui ingatan saya — malam ketika saya bertemu dengan roh Gunung Gelap.
